The Mooteeter website (mooteeter.web.app) and the Mooteeter app are operated by Mootiverse Studio ("we", "us", "the service provider"). We respect the privacy of every user. This document explains how we collect, use, and disclose personal data.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide directly
- Account information: name, email, profile picture — when you sign in with Google
- Profile data (optional): date of birth, gender, relationship status — to improve prediction accuracy
- Reading history: predictions you opened (stored locally / in Firestore for members)
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Google Analytics 4: pages visited, time spent, country, device — for service improvement
- Firebase Crashlytics: app error reports — to fix bugs
- Cookies / Local Storage: session data, settings, local viewing history
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide birth-date based predictions
- Save your reading history for later access
- Analyze usage to develop new features
- Send daily fortune notifications (only if you opt in)
- Prevent abuse
3. Sharing With Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data to anyone. We use these third-party services:
- Google (Firebase, Analytics): hosting, authentication, usage statistics
- Google AdMob / AdSense: serve ads (free tier) — Google may use cookies for personalization
- Google Play Billing: processing Premium payments — we never store your credit card data
4. Cookies
We use cookies for:
- Login session (required)
- User preferences such as preferred reading aspect
- Google Analytics — usage statistics (can be opted out in browser settings)
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard protection:
- HTTPS encryption on every page
- Firebase Security Rules limit data access
- No passwords stored — Google OAuth only
6. Your Rights (GDPR / PDPA)
You have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of data we hold about you
- Rectify: request correction of inaccurate data
- Erase: request deletion of your account and all data — available in-app (Settings → Delete Account) or by contacting us
- Restrict: request temporary suspension of processing
- Withdraw consent: refuse processing of your data
7. Data Retention
We retain data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all data is removed within 30 days (except data legally required to be kept, such as payment receipts for 5 years).
8. Children
Our service is not designed for children under 13. If you are a parent and find your child using our service, please contact us to delete their data.

We may update this policy from time to time. For significant changes, we will notify you via email or app announcement.
